Grandparents Day
Grandparents Day is held in the fall each year and is a great opportunity for grandparents to visit the school, assemble for presentations of song, chants and musical presentations by the students, visit the classrooms, meet the teachers and gain a better understanding of how their grandchildren spend their school days! Grandparents Day is scheduled for Fri., Sept. 18, 2026.
Back the Blue/First Responder Event
This loved annual event provides an opportunity for students and families to show appreciation for those who serve our community. The day includes demonstrations, helicopter water drops, explosions, and the much-anticipated athletic competition between the first responders/officers and the students!
Christmas Shop
Christmas Shop is a school favorite held in early December. Special elves work hard year round to provide the students an opportunity to shop for family and friends for Christmas. Christmas Shop is Dec. 7-9, 2026.
Riverbend Academy Ministry Night
Academy Ministry Night is held annually at Riverbend Community Church and is an opportunity for students to share with parents and members of the church. It is a great night of presentations with songs, chants and memorizations, drama, and testimonies as a tribute to all that God is doing at the Academy. Academy Night is held in February each year.
Giving Tuesday
You know Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but have you heard about Giving Tuesday? It marks the beginning of the holiday giving season and has become a global day of charitable giving celebrated nationally on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Giving Tuesday is a Global Day of Generosity that was created in 2012 as a simple idea to encourage people to do good and support non-profits, and always falls on the Tuesday following Black Friday. It has since grown into a global movement that inspires people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity. Giving Tuesday is Dec. 1, 2026.
